Guests of Honor

Michele S. and Robert C. Levin are passionate about their philanthropic endeavors, focusing their efforts on Jewish education and the support of Israel. Michele is the Immediate Past President of the Barrack Board of Directors and Rob lends his real estate experience and expertise to the school through committee work. Currently, they are the Philadelphia chapter chairs of the American Associates of Ben-Gurion University. In 2012, they co-chaired the Greater Philadelphia Mega Mission to Israel. Combining a love for baseball and Israel, Rob and his family built and dedicated the Alvin M. Levin Baseball/Softball Field, in memory of his father. Located in Maor, Israel, a moshav that is part of the Menashe Regional Council, near the city of Hadera, they also created a young player baseball training and educational project, named "Ball and Glove.” Michele is the vice-chair of the Jewish Federations of North America’s (JFNA) Negev Now initiative and is the chair of the Negev Funding Coalition (NFC). Both support projects designed to strengthen the Negev. They are active members of Har Zion Temple, and dedicated supporters of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, Jewish Learning Venture and the JDC. However, their proudest achievement is their three Akiba-Barrack alumni, Jake ’11, Sammi ’13 and Andrew ’16.

Michele has a master’s degree in organizational development and leadership from St. Joseph’s University and is currently working on her executive coaching certification. She is a lead consultant at Gestaltworks, a consulting firm in New Hope.

Rob has worked for Alvin M. Levin & Son Inc. for 32 years, a 108-year-old third generation real estate building, investment, and management company, located in Center City, Philadelphia, and has held the position of President and Director of Operations since 2004. He holds active roles in several real estate and construction related associations and professional groups on the local, regional, and national board levels.
