Visual Arts

boy in school

Visual arts courses and experiences provide Barrack students in both middle and upper school with opportunities to discover and cultivate their unique talents and interests.

Courses in the visual arts are structured to balance technical, historical, and practical hands-on learning. Jewish imagery and symbols are also explored and interwoven throughout the curriculum. Students spend the majority of their class time working in the art studio creating projects using a wide variety of materials and processes, including a 3D ceramic printer. Students have many opportunities to showcase their work in solo and school-wide exhibitions and in shows held throughout the tristate area. Barrack students graduate with a deep understanding of and keen appreciation for the visual arts.
