Experiential Learning

At Barrack, we believe that student learning extends beyond our campus.

Each year, our students take a variety of curricular trips, connecting what they’ve learned in the classroom to the outside world. Grade trips include exploring museums, seeing plays, visiting water treatment facilities, and participating in local hesed (community service) opportunities.

Students become “Keepers of the Earth” during a four-day Teva program, discover the National Aquarium and historical sites in Washington, D.C., and Williamsburg, Virginia, and participate in a public policy trip. Our 8th and 11th graders have the unique opportunity to visit Israel; 8th graders take a ten-day trip with their class and our 11th graders enjoy travel, experiential learning, and classroom studies through the Alexander Muss High School in Israel study abroad experience.
