LOSE Recap

Home game

The sun shone through overcast clouds as the Boys Junior Varsity Tennis Team closed their season. Shouts of victory from the lacrosse game faded as they reached the courts, but they were certainly still heard. It was a competition, as all matches are. One winner, one loser. Our players' efforts manifested themselves in the beads of sweat glimmering on their foreheads. We lost, it's true- but we tried our best! Fortunately, we lost significantly less-badly than our other matches: Our first singles, Sam Handel, lost 5 games to 8 but our first doubles, by God- our first doubles triumphed! The outstanding victory by Michael Warshowsky and Adin Solomon was made by a difference of 6 games, whereby the power couple won 400% of the games their opponents did. Our game on Tuesday may be fittingly considered a microcosm of our season. We won few, lost many, but enjoyed ourselves. Thank you Coach Riley for a fantastic season.
