Barrack vs. Friends Select

LOSE

Away game at Friends Select School - Basketball, Swimming, Tennis Get Directions

On Tuesday, the Cougars faced a tough loss against Friend Select in our first meet of the season. This was a gender divided meet, which was detrimental to our success. Having only 9 girls and 6 boys today, there were some events that we needed to forfeit due to a lack of swimmers. Overall the Cougars all swam amazingly. Shout out to Emily Krulik for swimming the 500 yard free against a male swimmer, Mattan Manstein for volunteering to do the 200 yard free, Leah Samuel-Haltrecht for her incredible swimming, and to Jared Raikin and Avi Gordon for their team work and speed in the 50 free and 200 free relay. Everyone really stepped it up and did what was needed to been done to help the team, but unfortunately Friend Select had stronger swimmers. For a team that has middle school students competing against seniors, we did great. Super job today Cougars, we will beat them next time.
