Barrack vs. West Mont Christian

LOSE 4-17

Home game at South Ardmore Park Get Directions

On Thursday at South Ardmore field, the Barrack Cougars Varsity Softball team lost soundly to Westmont 17-4.

While the score wasn’t so pretty for the home team, there were great strides made by many of the Cougars during the afternoon’s contest.

Co Captains Talia Raikin (2 hits and a walk) and Sarah Drapkin (3 hits) provided most of the offense.  Additionally, Dayna Felger contributed two doubles of her own, while Elianna Israel and Sivan Barzeski each collected their first hit of the season.

Head Coach Bill Mattis promised better results from his young squad.  "Eventually, we're going to be a very good team.  There are lots of players on this team who have tremendous talent.  It's my job to make that happen sooner than later and we're working hard at making that happen every day at practice."

This 2017 edition of the team is extremely young and inexperienced but they are improving every day in practice and in games.  Look for good things from this group as the season continues.
