WIN 19-15

Annie and Sophia report:

The Cougars bounced back from their loss against Westmont with a fantastic 19-15 win against Renaissance on Thursday! Tali Glickman pitched the entire game, giving up only four walks and making things easier for the rest of the infield by dishing out 7 great strikeouts as well. We have been cutting down on our errors in the field as well, making some great plays at first and some great catches, both in the infield and the outfield. We also had a great game at bat, with 16 hits and many of our 7th and 8th graders getting on base for the first time, a nice double from Talia Raikin, and a couple of nice hits from Ali Gorson-Marrow that helped advance runners. Sophia Shoulson went 5 for 5 with a triple and a grand slam!!!! Oh and Alli Einhorn and Tali Glickman should be recognized for the sheer, dumb luck that allowed them to catch a fly ball together after neither of them called the other off. It was awesome to watch...but don't do it again, please? Game ball went to Diana Epstein for a great at-bat and for fantastic cheering from the bench throughout the game. Go Cougars!
