Today the Lady Cougars hit off the season very well with a win against league rival Mercy Vocational. Even though it was a windy and cold day out today, we managed to play 6 inning. Although the first inning started out a little rough for the Barrack defense, when it was our time to bat, we started to catch up. Tali Glickman had a great game defensively and offensively. Once she settled in she managed to keep Mercy quiet. Tali also had a bases clearing triple. Ali Gorson-Marrow also had a great game at the plate, she have 3 nice hits. Sophia Shoulson had a couple nice hits and came in to relief pitch for Tali. We ended up having 15 hits and 5 errors. Hopefully the hits number will go up and the errors will go down throughout the season. All in all, everyone on the team was aggressive on the bases, stealing when they could and it turned out a great victory to start the season off. Final score: 21-14 Barrack.
