The Lady Cougars Lacrosse team reigned victorious today in the Tri County championship. The girls gave a complete team effort for all 50 minutes and dominated a very good Kimberton opponent at every position. Ten seconds into the game, Nora Abel scored on a beautiful assist from Dani Levin and the team never looked back. After the first goal, Kimberton shut off Dani Levin which opened the door for the rest of the team offensively. Seizing the opportunity, Tamar Parmet lead the way with 5 goals while Sarah Weinblatt notched a hat trick. Sivan Ben-Maimon, Caroline Batoff and Nora Abel each scored a goal as well. Although offense played unbelievable, they were not to be outdone by the defense. Anchored by four juniors, Jackie Khutorsky, Shira Golan, Sarah Glickman and Isabel Friedman, the defense put forth their best effort of the season with help from goalie, Gracie Gottlieb, who played out of her mind and recorded a season high 17 saves!! Our stingy zone defense was not complete without help from midfielders Sivan, Tamar, Lili Naim, Rebecca Lipstein and the Gordon sisters (Sarah and Rachel). Special recognition needs to be given to Shira who suffered a broken arm while selflessly taking a charge. We would like to thank our managers and fans for all of your support throughout the season. Final score: 11-7.
