The Cougars pulled out with a strong win against league rivals Renaissance despite a slow start. Renaissance scored first and maintained the lead for several innings, putting pressure on the Cougars. However, the lineup strung hits and walks together to undo the deficit, despite missing cleanup hitter Robbie Rosen to injury. Sammy Turk-Tolub battled through rough spots and ended up pitching a complete game against a team with a potent offense. The victory has built up important momentum for the Cougars as the season quickly reaches its conclusion. The Cougars face Renaissance again tomorrow, this time in the first round of the TCISL playoffs.
