Barrack vs. Abington Friends

LOSE 13-14

Away game at Abington Friends School Get Directions

 Reported by Shawn Martin

Today, the Cougars took the field against Abington Friends in their first regular season game. Already short-handed due to the Sophomores being on Panim, the Cougars knew they would have to rely on other sources for quality play in every aspect of the game. Both teams had very little trouble offensively and runs were scored nearly every half inning. There were numerous lead changes throughout and by the last inning the game was still up for grabs. Despite decent pitching and offense, defense was utterly horrendous for the Cougars who suffered a heartbreaking 14-13 loss with the tying run on third in the final inning. We look to learn what we can from this experience and improve in our next game this Thursday against Friends Select.
