Athletic Hall of Fame

Barrack athletics alumni at Hall of Fame ceremony with hands in for a cheer

Formed in spring of 2014, the Akiba-Barrack Athletic Hall of Fame honors past student athletes, coaches, and significant contributors to the school’s athletic department. Each year, the Hall of Fame Committee made up of alumni, past and current coaches, and Hall of Fame members select deserving recipients from nominations by the Akiba-Barrack community to be inducted during our Athletic Awards night held each spring.

The Hall of Fame is open to individuals who have made outstanding contributions as one or more of the following:

  • A superior competitor
  • A teacher-coach who made a significant impact or exceptional contribution to the Athletic program.
  • A person who has made a long-term exemplary contribution to Akiba-Barrack Athletics

In all cases, membership in the Athletics Hall of Fame is reserved for those nominees whose actions, accomplishments and contributions were a source of pride for Akiba-Barrack during their time as a student athlete/coach/administrator and the time following their departure from Akiba-Barrack.

Playing sports at Akiba and being an athlete is really the foundation for how I conduct myself on a daily basis...Being the best on the field or the court does not always mean scoring the most points or having the most goals. It means leading by example on and off the court and showing respect and good sportsmanship to others.Barrack Alumnus
