Q: Who do I contact with a question or concern about the athletic program?
A: If it is a team matter i.e. playing time, please contact the coach.  All other inquiries can be made to the following people:

Q:  Where can I find the team practice schedule? 
A:  The practice schedule is located on the school's calendar page at  https://www.jbha.org/calendar.php   . Click the athletic tab next to lunch. 

Q: How long are practices?
A: By clicking on the specific practice link on the calendar page you will see the start and end time of the practice

Q: Where is the game schedule located?
A: Games are posted on the school calendar page. They are also posted under each individual sport within the athletics drop tab here  https://www.jbha.org/athletics/athletics.php . Click the sport you are looking for on the left hand side.  By clicking on the HOME or AWAY link you will be directed to the location of the game.  

Q: How can I locate weekly and daily events?
A: There are multiple places to find this information.  Daily news can be found under Athletic News on the Athletics drop down tab here https://www.jbha.org/athletics/athletic-news.php?c=4
It can also be found by dialing the sports hotline.  The events of the day will be on a prerecorded message.  Sports Hotline 610- 922- 2306

Weekly events will be sent in an email from the Athletic Director every Friday afternoon.  Additionally, weekly events can be found on the website  at:https://www.jbha.org/athletics/athletic-events-of-the-week.php

Q: When are practices and games?
A: Practices and games for Middle School will be after school from 3:45 pm-5:35 pm.  On occasion, Middle School teams return from games at school between 6 pm and 7 pm. There will be occasional Sunday games for Middle School. Check the calendar during each season.

Upper School practices vary from 3:45 pm - 5:35 pm and 5:30 pm -7 pm.  Teams usually return from competition between 6 pm and 7 pm.

* All estimated return times will be delineated in the weekly emails.  Upper School will also practice on Sundays.

Q: What forms must be completed in order for my child to participate?
A: We must have 4 up to date forms on file in order for participation.

Those forms include:
1. Updated Medical form signed by a doctor clearing them for athletic activity within one year of participation
2. Concussion Form 
3. Cardiac Arrest Form
4. Emergency Contact Form

Q: Can students try out for a sport they never played?
A: Yes, we do not cut but typically we do not allow students to sign up after the first two weeks of practice have begun.

Q: Do I need to buy a uniform / equipment?
A: All Barrack teams receive school issued uniforms that must be returned after the season.  Barrack does not provide laundry services so students must keep their uniform in good shape.  Teams are provided basic equipment but students are encouraged to bring their own.  You can also buy Barrack spirit wear through our website here:  School Spirit Store

Q: Is there a return to play policy for concussions?

Q:  Can you share information about transportation for games and practices? 
A: Busing is provided for students to and from all Away contests and practices held off campus.  Parents may pick their child up from off campus practices or away contests with consent from the coach.  Students may drive themselves or siblings to and from games/ practices with consent from a parent.  Two late buses are provided for student athletes who cannot get picked up at school.  The first bus leaves Barrack between 5:45 pm - 6 pm.  The second bus leaves Barrack between 7 pm - 7:15 pm. Each bus will make the following stops:

  •      Summit Avenue at the Fort Washington train station

·         Gratz/MandellCampus                                                                                                    
·         St. Marks Church – Meetinghouse Rd before Beverly Rd. at light
