Music

boy in school

Students build confidence as individual performers and as members of a group, learning together while developing their personal passions.

With offerings ranging from music electives, music-based Shaharit options, clubs, and courses, Barrack students cultivate their ability to take the stage as well as work together as an ensemble.

Courses encourage creativity and self-expression, foster collaboration, and cultivate a deeper appreciation for the diversity and richness of music.

Opportunities include:

  • Exploring instruments from rock band: drums, guitar, bass guitar, percussion (hand drums, cymbals, xylophone)
  • Understanding and cultivating vocal techniques
  • Develop ensemble-based skills and working collaboratively with peers
  • Building music literacy in creative ways
  • Learning to provide feedback on the work of peers and self-reflection on personal work
  • Gaining a greater appreciation for music
  • Building community through listening to each other’s music and songs
