Hallmarks of the Barrack Middle School Experience
Academic, religious, physical, social, and emotional growth is the focal point of our middle school's dual curriculum in secular and religious subjects.
Students are encouraged to think, question, learn, and make decisions based on Jewish and American values.
Old City, New World
With the vibrant city as their classroom and through the experiential study of artifacts, art, and ethics, our 6th grade students become active agents in envisioning and actualizing their future world.
Middle School Electives
Students have a voice at Barrack. Beginning in middle school, students select their own electives to explore their interests and broaden their horizons.
8th Grade Trip to Israel
In a capstone middle school experience, 8th grade students travel Israel for almost two weeks, exploring Israel as a living classroom.
Teva Retreat
In 6th grade, students become “Keepers of the Earth” during a four-day experiential learning Teva program, taking on new challenges, bonding with their classmates, and connecting with their faith and the natural world.
