Middle School Signature Programs
Beyond the classroom curriculum, middle school students at Barrack participate in signature experiences that deepen their learning, build connections, and create lasting memories. From interdisciplinary city explorations to a capstone trip to Israel, these programs are designed to challenge students, spark curiosity, and bring learning to life.
Old City, New World
With the vibrant city as their classroom and through the experiential study of artifacts, art, and ethics, our 6th grade students become active agents in envisioning and actualizing their future world.
Middle School Electives
Students have a voice at Barrack. Beginning in middle school, students select their own electives to explore their interests and broaden their horizons.
8th Grade Trip to Israel
In a capstone middle school experience, 8th grade students travel Israel for almost two weeks, exploring Israel as a living classroom.

Teva Retreat
In 6th grade, students become “Keepers of the Earth” during a four-day experiential learning Teva program, taking on new challenges, bonding with their classmates, and connecting with their faith and the natural world.
