On August 10, the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Subcommittee of Barrack’s Spiritual, Social and Emotional Learning (SSEL) Committee shared with the community the school's statement on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
"One of our most important tasks this summer has been to conscientiously re-examine and re-shape our social and academic goals as an institution in light of our rapidly changing society. We wanted to share with you our efforts in this direction... We invite you to share in more conversation and self-reflection with us as we move forward. Our job as Jewish educators is to nurture tolerance, while we address systemic racial inequality, homophobia, transphobia, and other forms of prejudice." The full statement can be found in the Student Life section of our website.
