We were privileged to have Dr. Leah Lande ‘89 from the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Lankenau Medical Center, along with her team of fellows, visit to educate our students about the dangers of vaping. We learned how vaping is just as dangerous, potent, and addictive, if not more so, than cigarette smoking. "The vaping epidemic is one of the most frightening issues in pulmonary and critical care medicine right now," says Dr. Lande '89. "Everyone who vapes is causing long term damage to their lungs. This is history repeating itself, and we owe it to our children to tell them these difficult truths."
This powerful assembly was offered as part of Barrack's continued commitment to the emotional, social, and physical wellness of our students throughout their teenage years. Thank you to Dr. Leah Lande '89 and her team for taking the time to join us.
Dr. Leah Lande '89 is currently the parent of three students at Barrack.
