Two BIG Events Happening at Barrack This Sunday

Join us this Sunday, April 27 here at Barrack:

Barrack-Centropa Museum of Jewish Life in Germany

3:30-5:30pm

The multi-media exhibit is being created by our 9th grade students in partnership with Centropa, an organization based in Vienna that is dedicated to keeping alive the memory of Jewish life in Central and Eastern Europe.

The museum, displayed throughout the school, will feature six-foot story panels that depict the historical experience of the Jewish community in Germany, including their cultural life, as well as their political and existential challenges. Student-made videos will highlight historical events and personal family histories. The Grand Opening program will feature folk tales, student performed German Jewish music, authentic German Jewish foods and an art gallery focusing on German Expressionism and so-called Degenerate Art. Guests will also have an opportunity to create their own Degenerate or Expressionist art work.

Alumni Milestone Reunion

5:30pm

All alumni are invited as we celebrate those classes celebrating milestone reunions. Click here for more information and to Rsvp.
