Congratulations to the Lady Cougars for defending the TCISL championship title! The team faced Perkiomen at their home field on Thursday and came out victorious! Perk started off strong with a goal within the first 15 minutes of the first half. Barrack soon tied the game after Sarah Gordon booted a corner kick into the center, and Perks goalie dropped the ball allowing Tamar Cahana to put the ball in the net. With a new intensity, the Cougars continued the first half with tremendous hustle and motivation. The score at the half was 1-1. About 20 minutes into the second half, Caroline Batoff scored an incredible goal after a beautiful assist from Lindsey Chevlin. The ball skimmed the goalies hands, but ultimately went in, making the score 2-1. The rest of the game, the entire team hustled and left everything they had on the field. Perk challenged our defense all game, but our girls worked as a unit and shut Perk down. Sarah Nelson had 14 saves and played an amazing game. We are so proud of the whole team - it's been a fantastic season and we are so excited to continue the 4 year Barrack Girls Soccer dynasty! Thanks to all of our fans for making the trip out to Perk to cheer us on! Everyone come out for our final game against Kohelet November 4th (Sunday morning.) GO COUGARS!
