Barrack vs. Tri County Championship Meet

On Wednesday, November 3, the Barrack Cougars competed in their final meet of the season at the Phelps School in the Tri County League Championships. In the Tri County League, boys and girls scores are combined. The Cougars finished in 7th place in the team standings. Collegium won the team competition, followed closely by Perkiomen and Woodlynde. The Cougars faced schools such as Collegium, Delaware Valley Friends, Kimberton, Mercy Vocational, Phelps, and Woodlynde.

The Lady Cougars placed 3 girls in the Top 5 Girls standings. Senior Jessica Wolfson lead the charge, placing 2nd (41st overall) in a season best time of 23:01. Freshmen Marnie Landau finished 3rd (43rd overall) in 23:21, and Sarah Wolfson finished 5th (45th overall) in 23:33. All three girls achieved their season's best times at yesterday's competition by large margins.

Team captain and senior Besty Silverstein sat out of competition due to injury.

On the boys side, Barrack Cougars were represented by Jake Rosen (56th, 25:13), David Zuckerman (62nd, 26:00) and Sam Chast (69th, 27:11).

Virtually every athlete on the Barrack squad improved tremendously this season and surpassed their previous best times at the Tri County Champs.
