In an extremely competitive, and highly exciting game, the MS Cougars beat visiting Abington Friends to improve their record to 7-2 on the year. In the 16th minute, striker Ben Jacobsen slipped a great pass through the defense to teammate David Gordon, who quickly placed the ball in the back of the net. Five minutes later, Jacobsen added a goal of his own.
Abington Friends scored two quick goals to start the second half and tie the game at 2. However, the determined Cougars got the game winner in the final minute of play when Joshua Cohen streamed down the flank, played the ball into the box, and David Gordon shot it into the net for his second of the game. Thanks to all of the parents, students and faculty who made it out to cheer us on.
