The Cougars played a tough game against Phelps on Tuesday. In the first quarter, the Cougars were a bit rusty coming off of a long weekend break. The Cougars began to play better in the second quarter, but then slipped a little towards the end of the half. The Cougars went into to halftime down by ten. To begin the second half, the Cougars came out strong and closed the gap, largely because we cut down on our turnovers. The score remained tight throughout the end of the third quarter and into the fourth quarter. Aaron Bernstein stepped up and helped to keep the Cougars in the game, scoring 10 points. Unfortunately, Phelps outlasted the Cougars and won the game. Final score: 36-29.
