A Spirited Annual Sports Awards Banquet Debuts at Barrack
JBHA’s inaugural Annual Sports Awards Banquet took place Tuesday, May 29 in the Batoff Family Dining Commons. Rob Charry ’71, sports radio personality, was the keynote speaker. Coaches presented awards to student athletes and the captains of each sports team presented recaps of the season, thanking Kim Gillio, Athletic Director, their coaches and families along the way. Sivan Ben-Maimon, Jenna Glassman and Ezra Solway, Barrack seniors, talked about the importance of teamwork and what it means to be a Barrack athlete.
Student athletes received awards as follows: LACROSSE: Sivan Ben-Maimon -Coach’s Award, Danielle Levin-Most Valuable Player, and Sarah Weinblatt-Unsung Hero. GOLF: Josh Rieders - Most Valuable Player and Darren Joffe - Most Improved Player. TRACK: Toviah Botwinik-Most Valuable Player and Marnie Landau -Most Dedicated Player. MIDDLE SCHOOL BASEBALL: David Gordon -Most Valuable Player, Alec Cohen - Most Improved Player, and Josh Jutcovich-Coach’s Award. VARSITY BASEBALL: Noah Cohen – Most Valuable Player, David Kolansky-Coach’s Award, and Robbie Rosen -Dedication Award. BOYS VARSITY TENNIS: Michael Miller-Most Improved Player, Ezra Solway- Coach’s Award and Michael Cahana -Unsung Hero. SOFTBALL: Jenna Glassman-Leadership Award, Renee Zwillenberg-Spirit Award and Ariel Gordon-Most Improved Player. Congratulations to all our student athletes, their coaches, teammates and families!
