Greeks versus Amazons:

a fictional history

By Chad B.

The Greeks were living peacefully when the Amazons attacked them because the Greek men were ruling Greece and the Amazons wanted the women to rule.  The Greeks did not want to fight.  However, the Amazons did not leave them alone so they had to fight.  After years of fighting they made a peace treaty to stop the fighting.

They were living peacefully together for two years when the Amazons attacked again.  The Greeks were very mad at the Amazons because they ignored the treaty, so the Greeks decided to burn down one of their cities.  As retaliation, they started to burn down each others cities.

The Greeks secretly were building a huge army to destroy all the Amazon people, but the Amazons were also building a huge army.  Both armies were marching to go burn down each other's land when they met along the way. The armies started to fight and the Amazons were winning. Then the Greeks were winning.  In the end, each army had very few soldiers, so they both had to retreat.

They created another peace treaty, and this time the Greeks broke it after five years when they attacked the Amazons by burning most of their country to the ground.  Hercules led the Greek attack, so the Amazons were trying to kill him.  After many battles the Amazons led one more attack, but were defeated and conquered.

After 22 years of being controlled, the Amazons regained their freedom.  As the Amazons were growing stronger, the Greeks had a massive army and were planning to attack them while they were still weak.  But they were not so weak that they could not defend themselves, so when the Greeks attacked, the Amazons were stronger than they thought they would be, and the Greeks only killed a few hundred out of thousands. The Amazons prepared a sneak attack and killed thousands of Greeks.

While both were recovering from those attacks, they both were raising another huge army to attack each other. The Amazons made huge barriers and walls. The Greeks were making better weapons to break down walls and to go through the Amazons' shields. The Greeks demolished the walls and barriers and killed thousands of Amazons.

Finally, after many battles, they stopped fighting and started to trade. The Amazons got better weapons and the Greeks got extra stone and learned how to build better walls. But the next year they began fighting again. The Greeks made outstanding walls but the Amazons had no advancements in their military. In the last battle of the war (the bloodiest) the Greeks made a fortress so big it could not be knocked down, so the Greeks demolished and conquered the Amazons. The Greeks under Hercules' control ruled until Rome conquered the Greeks.
