Barrack vs. Perkiomen School

LOSE 50-24

Home game at Barrack Campus Get Directions

"The JV boys came out once again today in a losing effort against Perkiomen. With the game close at 10-6 at the end of the first quarter, Perk went on a run and increased their lead to 12. After this, the Cougars were not able to get back in the game, simply because they were outrun, out-jumped, and out-played. Boxing out once again proved to be the weak point in the team's play and their overall defense fell apart during the 2nd and 3rd quarters. However, the 4th quarter did prove to be in improvement, as defense looked strong in a 2-3 zone. The team also found some scoring from Joel Belfer and Jack Kolansky, each with 6 points. Jon Kolman and Mike Zlotnick added to the offense as well. Shout out to Shawn Martin who was able to stay back following the varsity game and play in JV, as he really helped with both offensive and defensive organization (not to mention his and Mike Zlotnick's many blocks). Overall, the team was happy with the 4th quarter play, but their room for improvement is clearly cut out for them. Final score: 50-24 Perk win. The team looks to bounce back tomorrow, after a tough 0-3 start, in a game against Woodlynde."
