Amidst the rain, the Cougars came from behind to beat Doane today, 7-3 in a tough league match-up. Off to a rough start on the mound, Joel Belfer came in and threw 7 scoreless shut-out innings, delivering his best outing of his short Varsity Baseball career. The team played perfect defense behind Joel including some great plays by Noah Cohen. Josh Radack led the way offensively, getting back on the hitting track, delivering a triple and a double, as well as multiple RBIs. Jack Kolansky caught the ball well, and the Cougars managed many hits by David Kolansky, Alex Bierig and Daniel Saltz. With this win, we now sit strongly in second place in our league, awaiting another chance to face Life Center in the playoffs NEXT WEEK!
