Kate Ledger grew up in Philadelphia, PA, and attended Solomon Schechter Day School and Akiba Hebrew Academy. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, she received aMaster of Fine Arts degree in
fiction from the University of Arizona and then worked as the senior writer at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. As a freelance writer, she has published articles in Self, Health, Sports Illustrated, Parents and other magazines.
Her debut novel, Remedies (Amy Einhorn Books/Putnam), received a starred review from Publishers Weekly, raves from Kirkus, Minneapolis StarTribune, Jewish Book World, Baltimore Magazine, Self, The National Post (of Canada), among others. It was chosen as an Ingram Premier Pick, a top recommendation to the nation’s libraries, and was selected as the “community read” for the 2009 Twin Cities Jewish Book Fair.
Kate lives in St. Paul, MN, with her husband and their three children.
