Welome back to a full week of school.I hope that your all having a wonderful time at Teva.
When you return we will finish our unit on Sukkot. We will then begin a unit on Bar and Bat Mitsvah.
Quiz on Yom Kippur and Sukkot: Thursday October 18th.
The quiz has been postponed until the week of October 22nd. I will announce the exact day on Monday. Shabbat Shalom.

We are beginning a Bar/Bat Mitsvah unit. The first part of the project on "Your Hebrew Name" is due Tuesday October 30th.

Homework Due 11/21 "C" day- Bring in the name of an organization that you or your family contribute tzedakah. Come to class with an idea for a class chesed sale.
Homework due Monday 12/3- a poster or another creative way of presenting the eight steps of Tzedakah.

Today 12/7 we had a wonderful Hanukah celebration with the whole 7th grade.
Homework for Monday: Read Megillat Antiochus. Answer the questions on the worksheet.

Week of January 14th:
We began a mishnah unit on the returning of lost objects. In Hebrew this mitzvah is called Hashavat Aveidah.Shortly we will also begin a unit on Tu Bishvat.

Welcome to the Third quarter
We are studying Mishnah this quarter. Presently we are studying chapter two of Masechet Baba Metzia.This chapter deals with the mitzvah of returning lost objects.
Homework due Friday 2/1/08 : Think of 3 modern day objects with good simanim., and 3 modern day objects without good simanim.

We are studying Mishnah Daled in Chapter 2 of Baba Metzia.

Homework due Monday 3/3/08 "A" day read Mishnah 7 in english. (page 32 of the packet)
Week of March 10th:
Homework Due 3/10 :Creatively illustrate Mishna 8. Use illustrations as well as words.
Week of March 17th:
This week we are dedicating time to the study of the holiday of Purim, as well as the first chapter of the Megillah. On Wednesday we will be making Hamantashen. Chag Purim Sameach.

Week of April 7th:
Homework due 4/8- 2 pages of notes in preparation for Tuesday's review for the chapter 2 Baba Metzia test on Friday. . In addition tranlate the vocablary review list.
Mishnah test: Friday April 11th "C" day.
Wednesday 4/9/08- We will continue reviewing for Friday's test. We wil then work on a Pesach packet. Whatever is not completed will be for homework. On Thursday please report to Mr Gottlieb in room #7. Study for Friday's open and closed note test. Hand in your completed Pesach packet

Week of 5/12
Homework due Wednesday 5/14- Complete the handout on Biblical sources on Shavuot. Summarize each of the sources from the Torah. Shabbat Shalom.
Week of 5/27
Essay on Conversion or one of the ten commandments due Monday June 2nd , "F" day.
Students have already chosen topics and done research in the library. Students will make oral presentations on June 3rd and June 4th.
