2008 Summer Reading Assignments
Dear Student,
All of the teachers at Barrack Hebrew Academy would like you to read many books this summer. We in the English and History Departments, however, require that you read a few books for your next year’s courses. The titles of these required readings are listed on the following links below.
You will find a specific list of questions or ideas to guide your reading, as well as directions as to when the required reading will be dealt with in class. We encourage students to purchase the required texts since they will be needed in class. Following the required reading and questions for each course, there are some recommended readings.
The teachers hope you’ll enjoy both the required and the recommended books and will come to class eager to discuss them in the fall. Enjoy your summer and happy reading!
