Paris 2008

Trip to Paris 2008

When: Sunday June 15 – Monday June 23, 2008

Who: Barrack students and families!

The trip will be led by Dr. Sigal Strauss and one more faculty member.

French students may travel alone. Students of other languages/grades are welcome to travel with at least one adult chaperone. Barrack families are WELCOME!

High school students will be roomed together. Middle school students will be roomed with their adult chaperone.

What is included: EVERYTHING!

Direct flight from Philadelphia w/ Air France, Hotel, 3 kosher meals, Metro pass, day trip to the castles of the Loire Valley, day trip to Versailles, The Louvre, Musée D’Orsay, evening boat ride on the Seine river, and other attractions in Paris. Gil Travel is taking care of our flight, and the Jewish Community in Paris is taking care of all the land arrangements.

Shabbat: La Grande Synagogue de la Victoire- The Jewish community is looking forward to hosting us again for Shabbat dinner in their homes and Kiddush after services on Shabbat. (This has been the highlight of our previous trips!!!)

Estimated cost: $2,700 (all inclusive!)

(There might be additional cost caused by airline fuel charges, special hotel accommodations, and changes in the value of the Euro)

  • Group size is limited to one coach bus (about 45 people)
  • Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis - Priority will be given to French Students.

To reserve your spot:

  • Send $200 deposit and passenger(s) name(s) (as appear on passport) For Air France to hold the airline ticket for you!)–

This particular deposit will be refundable until March 1, 2008 in case of cancellation, and fully refunded after the completion of the trip for those who travel.

Send your checks asap to Dr. Sigal Strauss, payable to Gil Travel. All other payments will be payable to JBHA French club.

  • Once registration is complete, you will receive more detailed information regarding payment schedule and trip itinerary.
  • Registration ends November 30, 2007.
