Welcome to this new course at Barrack Hebrew Academy.  Students will spend 3 1/2 cycles with Rabbi Field learning the text of Alan Dershowitz' The Case For Israel, which has been given by the school as a gift to all students.  The other half of the quarter will be spent learning various strategies and information about Israel Advocacy and about the complexity of the situation and reality that confronts Israel and all her peoples today.  Students will look at various media resources, consider different points of view and learn how to facilitate the discussions we have with others.  It is hoped that this will be used as a resource that your student brings to his or her college campus next year.  Meaningful participation and daily attendence in class is crucial and is a (if not the) major criteria in grading.
