Cyrano de Bergerac on Broadway

Oh là là! We went to New York City to see the Broadway production on Cyrano de Bergerac, starring Kevine Kline and Jeniffer Garner

We actually met the actors after the show, and Jeniffer Garner was so nice to meet with us too!!!!

The soulful poet/philosopher and brilliant swordsman Cyrano de Bergerac, a cadet in the French Army, falls for the beautiful, strong-willed Roxane, but he is too ashamed of his large nose to tell her. Instead, when he learns that she loves the handsome but not-so-bright recruit Christian de Neuvillette, Cyrano writes poetry and love letters to Roxane on Christian's behalf. After many years, the truth is revealed. Will love or beauty win the fair heroine's heart?

The original production of Cyrano de Bergerac opened in Paris in 1897. A translated Broadway

production opened in 1899 and was then revived in 1923, 1946, 1984 and in a shortened form in 1992. Oscar and Tony winner Kevin Kline stars in an adaptation by Anthony Burgess (A Clockwork Orange), with Golden Globe-winning Hollywood star Jennifer Garner as the object of his affection. TV star Daniel Sunjata (Rescue Me) completes the romantic triangle as Christian in this hotly awaited limited Broadway engagement.
