Second quarter, 2008-09:  Students are continuing with coming-of-age stories, culminating with study of the short novel Weep Not, Child, by Ngugi Wa Thiong'o, and a major thesis paper on the novel.

In the meantime, students have selected short story collections for outside reading and will complete a series of short writing assignments based on in-class and outside reading.
