Friday, March 28- Answer questions on Rashba's views on science and Torah from the handout.

Wednesday, March 26- Answer questions "a" and "b" on page 3 of Ibn Ezra/Rambam handout on a separate piece of paper.

Monday, March 24 - Answer questions on R. Saadia Gaon from the worksheet, on a separate piece of paper.

Thursday, March 6 -   Read the first Mishnah of Ch. 10 of Mesechet Sanhedrin (also known as 'Perek Helek', since it begins "kol yisrael yesh lahem helek l'olam haba").  Does anything in the Mishnah support/refute our understanding of Rambam's 8th Ikar?  The text of the Mishnah in Hebrew can be found here.

Wednesday, March 5 -  Read the "Ani Maamin" - 8th principle - as well as Rambam's 8th Ikar, from the handout.  Answer questions A & B on the worksheet.

Tuesday, March 4 -  Write out at least 5 answers to the following question:  "Why do we study Tanakh?"

-   Read and translate the last commentary of Rashi on Shabbat 55b, with the opening words "v'ha ktiv maaviram"; you only need to read from the beginning to the words "b'sfarim moohagim ktiv maavirim."  The text in normal (i.e. non-Rashi) script and a vocabulary list can be found here.
