It is now Thursday, December 13, 2007 and it was wonderful to speak to so many parents of this lovely group during our recent conferences.

At this point, students are turning in their papers on the laws and practices of the Jewish nation at the time of the Torah.

We have also completed working in Chevrutot to prepare additional texts for presentation to each other as we continue to identify compellng themes in this template for our being as a people and a faith grouping. At this point, all of the members of the class will be teaching each other about their assigned chapters.

Any students who have to retake either of the competencies should do so ASAP.

We are also now listening to wonderful Divrei Torah on the weekly Parshiot.  Thank you so far to Rachel, Henry, Cara and Ross for well done and inspiring work.

There is a final paper for this course which will be due the week of January 21, 2007 in which each student will choose one of the themes we have studied and continue to develop it through the use of chosen texts in the rest of the Tanach.  Some students will use this opportunity to continue earlier work.
