This week we will learn about the meaning of light. The students will read Midrashim about the creation of light, as well as the symbolism of candles in Judaism. We will discuss celebration of Israeli holidays in America. The sections we will work on are 1 through 7.
Every "C" Day there will be a quiz on new vocabulary and additional assignments which will be given in class.

Project for Book 22
Due date
The first quarter’s project will be an essay and presentation on an Israeli leader.
- Each student will receive the name of an Israeli leader. Each student will have to research and write a biography on their leader which is to be no less than 200 words in length.
The second part of this project will be done in assigned groups. Each group is to direct and produce a 10 minute film on their leader. The film is to deal with a major historical decision made by this leader and how this decision was received by the people. You are to explain the reaction of the people who agreed with the leader as well as to explain the reaction of those who disagreed with him. You must also provide a worksheet with questions for your classmates to complete as they view the movie for a post movie discussion
NETA Test
The test will take place on the
Wednesday (C), April 2nd, 4th-5th period
Please go over all the vocabulary at the back of the NETA book. Also use the study guide you received in class.
