THE "CLASSIC" THESIS PAPER BOOK REPORT

When you hand in the final draft of your "classic" thesis paper you will include the following items in a folder.

2. “WRITING A THESIS PAPER” BRAINSTORMING SHEET

3. ROUGH DRAFTS OF INTRO, BODY AND CONCLUDING PARAGRAPHS

4. PEER EDITING REVIEW SHEETS (in packet)

5. THE “WHAT MAKES A CLASSIC” SHEET (in packet)

6. THESIS PAPER EVALUATION SHEET (in packet)

7. YOUR FINAL DRAFT MUST INCLUDE A CITATION FOR THE NOVEL

As you think about writing the classic thesis paper consider the following questions:

1. Have you finished the book?

2. Have you completed the three journal entries?

3. What is the focus of each journal entry?

5. What are the top three aspects of the novel you feel are most important to emphasize in an essay about the book?

7. Have you decided on what will be included in your supportive paragraphs? (Refer to Writers Inc section on literary analysis pages 227-232, if you get stuck)

After reviewing your three journal entries, categorizing the classic qualities of your novel and answering the above questions, you are ready to create an outline and write your introductory paragraph.

The outline is a brief synopsis or the skeleton of your paper:
