We will be covering three basic themes this semester. We begin with an overview of the Oral Law, Torah Sh'Beal Peh . Women in Judaism will be our second Unit followed by an examination to the relations between Jews and non-Jews in Jewish law.

You are expected to complete a 6 -8 page paper with the following components.

  • At least 5 primary sources.
  • Additional supporting sources (books, articles, etc.)
  • Interview- grade heavily dependant upon quality of questions
  • Outline
  • Class presentation with brief quiz to class at end (at least 4 questions)
