About Barrack
Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy is the only independent Jewish day school in the tri-state region that provides students in grades 6 through 12 with a dynamic dual curriculum of college preparatory and Jewish studies, complemented by a wide array of extracurricular and social action opportunities. We are a pluralistic community of learners. Diversity is our strength.
Through collaborative and hands-on learning, Barrack students learn to think critically and creatively, problem solve, respect multiple points of view and develop a strong sense of identity and community. Our caring and experienced faculty motivates students to achieve their personal best, and our students live Jewish values every day.
Our unique Middle School interdisciplinary CORE program prepares students to succeed academically and socially and make a seamless transition to Upper School where academic, extracurricular and community service programs continue to abound.
Barrack is committed to continually evolving academically. Our trimester schedule creates a rigorous educational program and allows for an expanded roster of electives in all grades. In 11th grade, students have the unique opportunity to study for a trimester in Israel.
Barrack students excel in the classroom and on the playing field. Historically, our students enjoy 100% college acceptance to top-tier colleges and universities throughout the United States and Israel, and our varsity sports teams capture league championships.
