From March 2-5, 2014, during the height of our many snow storms, a team from the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools performed an in depth audit of all aspects of our institution. Everything from academics to business to board relations was under the microscope. At the time, the team was very impressed with our overall facility, the quality of our staff, and the excitement of our incredible students.
On June 16, the Board of PAIS voted to grant accreditation for the normal 10-year cycle to JBHA. This mark of distinction is the gold standard for independent schools in Pennsylvania and we are proud to have worked hard to achieve accreditation.
We were also especially commended on three different areas of our institution:
- The success of the Middle School collaboration, including the facility, the transition, and the curriculum.
- Our capability to offer a Jewish Day School education to a wide array of diverse learners.
- Our commitment to our mission of pluralism, and our daily implementation of those values.
Congratulations to the entire school and staff for all of your hard work in reaching this coveted milestone. Special thanks to Dr. Darin Katz & Leslie Pugach for spearheading this enormous effort.
